The Pioneer Valley Panthers won the last time they faced the Morro Bay Pirates, and things went their way on Friday too. Pioneer Valley managed a 53-49 victory over Morro Bay. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pioneer Valley.
Inderveer Toor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Pioneer Valley's points. Elias Giddings was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justin Campbell, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Cords, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Pioneer Valley's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Morro Bay, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pioneer Valley will take on Paso Robles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morro Bay, they will be playing at home against Cabrillo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
