The Lincoln County Panthers will take on the Winfield Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Winfield took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lincoln County, who comes in off a win.
Lincoln County will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Livonia on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Bulldogs. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Bralin Peters made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lincoln County is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Peters was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Hunter Chaffin was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Greysen Ellis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Lincoln County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Winfield faced Ripley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Generals came up short against the Vikings, falling 13-3. The game marked the Generals' lowest-scoring match so far this season.
Blake Withrow made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Preston Keiffer, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Winfield's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Lincoln County, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
