Soccer Recap: Saint James Extends Winning Streak to Four

Saint James won the last time they faced Wetumpka and things went their way on Thursday too. The Trojans never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. Considering Saint James have won eight games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Wetumpka with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ragan King (2), Kaylin Corley, Gracie Russell, and Molly Phillips.

The victory (which was Saint James' fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those four matchups. As for Wetumpka, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saint James will host Montgomery Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Montgomery Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Saint James surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wetumpka, they will welcome Stanhope Elmore at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
