The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 32-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cumberland. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City has scored all season.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Clayton Wojcik, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaidyn Calame, who scored six points along with three steals.
Kelby Bierman was the offensive standout of the game as he scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Cumberland, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City is on the road again on Friday and play against Mulberry Grove at 6:15 p.m. on December 15th. Mulberry Grove is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.1 points per game. As for Cumberland, they will head out on the road to face off against Brownstown/St. Elmo at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
