The Banff Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 14th straight defeat. They fell 37-27 to Shady Acres Christian. Banff has not had much luck with the Mavericks recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Perhaps the best among them was Vincent Steiner, who scored three points along with six rebounds and five steals. Steiner also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Vinnie Chu, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Banff dropped their record down to 4-16 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Shady Acres Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Banff will square off against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shady Acres Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th.
