Shenendehowa and Guilderland are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Plainsmen will host the Flying Dutchmen at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Shenendehowa's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Guilderland has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Shenendehowa lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Saratoga Springs, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Plainsmen blew past the Blue Streaks 10-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Plainsmen have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Zachary Milano tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has become a key player for Shenendehowa: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brad Curtis, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Blake Morse was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Shenendehowa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Guilderland scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Troy.
Travis Berschwinger led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Owen Balleau, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Shenendehowa is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Guilderland, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
Everything went Shenendehowa's way against Guilderland when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Shenendehowa made off with an 8-1 win. Do the Plainsmen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Flying Dutchmen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
