Grace Christian is 9-1 against the Crusaders since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Grace Christian Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the United Christian Academy Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Grace Christian's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Crusaders have been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Grace Christian proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 33) but on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Blue Ridge Christian out 33-30. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but Grace Christian was the better team in the second half.
Grace Christian can attribute much of their success to Maddie Harper, who scored eight points along with two steals, and Kaitlyn Harper, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, United Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat the Bears back in December of 2023 and fell 2-0.
Grace Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for United Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Everything went Grace Christian's way against the Crusaders when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the Warriors made off with a 51-31 victory. Will Grace Christian repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
