The Friends Quakers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chapelgate Christian Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Friends in their matchups with Chapelgate Christian Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
It was another big night for Justin Bishop, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds for Chapelgate Christian Academy. Bishop has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Bryson Milledge was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists.
Friends now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Friends' homestand continues as they prepare to take on Concordia Prep at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Chapelgate Christian Academy will take on Severn School at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Severn School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 621 points over their last nine games.
