The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lamar County, who took down 187th ranked Aliceville, 44-14. Dallas Cockerham threw for 77 yards and one touchdown and ran for 108 yards in the win.
The Bulldogs moved up to 234 from 269 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A Region 4. Lamar County was able to make the jump by beating the Yellowjackets 44-14.
Hatch's De'Rodrick Norfleet and Brandon Jones have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Norfleet has thrown for 769 yards this season, while Jones, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 16 catches for 457 yards. Cockerham from Ken Adams' team leads the league in rushing with 560 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Oakman takes on Hale County. As it stands, the Wildcats are in first, while the Wildcats are in third.
Hale County was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in 2A Region 4. Earlier in the week, Joey Milligan's team triumphed over the Bobcats 45-24.
