After a string of three wins, the Poteau Pirates's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Bristow, falling 57-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Poteau has scored all season.
Addi Alexander continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bristow, scoring 28 points along with five rebounds. The game was Alexander's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Yocham, who scored 11 points.
Poteau's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-7. As for Bristow, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poteau won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Metro Christian at 3:15 p.m. on January 6th. Bristow won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against McLoud on January 6th. McLoud will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
