Morro Bay has been on the road for seven straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Cabrillo Conquistadores at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Morro Bay was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to Pioneer Valley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Morro Bay in their matchups with Pioneer Valley: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Cabrillo scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Santa Maria 74-56. The win was just what Cabrillo needed coming off of a 62-37 loss in their prior match.
Morro Bay has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Cabrillo, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Morro Bay came up short against Cabrillo when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 56-44. Can Morro Bay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
