A well-balanced attack led the Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles over Frederick Force every single quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Maryland School for the Deaf claimed a resounding 85-40 victory over Frederick at home. Frederick can consider this payback for the 64-56 loss they dealt the Orioles the last time the teams encountered one another last February.
Maryland School for the Deaf's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 41 first-half points. Frederick wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 41-18 heading into the break. Maryland School for the Deaf's offense just added to that total in the second half en route to their big win.
The win was the fourth in a row for Maryland School for the Deaf and raised their record to 19-4. The defeat dropped Frederick's record to 6-15.
The Orioles will take on Loudoun County HomeSchool on Friday. Maryland School for the Deaf won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. Frederick is on the road again today and plays against Covenant Life. Covenant Life has averaged 72.67 points over the course of their past three games, so Frederick might be in for a challenge.
