The Tallmadge Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Perry. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tallmadge of the 87-83 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2019.
Luke Wolf was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals for Perry. That's the first time this season that Wolf grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Drake Jacobsen, who scored 11 points.
Tallmadge has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Perry, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
Tallmadge will be playing at home against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 566 points over their last eight games. As for Perry, they will head out on the road to face off against GlenOak at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
