Cullen Garner made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Garner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
Garner wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sean Miskowiec, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another was Camden Biskup, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Creekside). Everything went their way against Bolles on Tuesday as Creekside made off with a 13-2 win. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Matthew Bysheim tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Creekside is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 6-7 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Parker Morton was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Gavin Duprey was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one triple.
St. Joseph Academy pushed their record up to 13-1-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Creekside, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
St. Joseph Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Creekside in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will St. Joseph Academy repeat their success, or does Creekside has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
