The Orleans Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Southridge Raiders with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Orleans came out on top against Southridge by a score of 40-32 on Friday.
Orleans' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ian Hall, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hall pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Xavier Alston, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Orleans has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Southridge, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orleans' road trip will continue as they head out to face Salem at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Salem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while Orleans is ranked 123rd). As for Southridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Tecumseh at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
