One reason for the win was Chiles' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10, 25-8.
Eva Goodson paced Chiles' offense, picking up nine kills. Goodson got some help from Natalie Gibson and her 20 assists. Lindsay Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Chiles' victory bumped their record up to 25-1. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.
Chiles has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lincoln on the 16th. Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
