The Linfield Christian Lions will take on the Thousand Oaks Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Linfield Christian had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-62 victory over the Dolphins. The victory was all the more spectacular given Linfield Christian's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while Dana Hills is ranked 44th).
Meanwhile, Thousand Oaks entered their tilt with King with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Thousand Oaks took down King 66-51 on Wednesday. Thousand Oaks pushed the score to 55-31 by the end of the third, a deficit King cut but never quite recovered from.
The victory makes it two in a row for Linfield Christian and bumps their season record up to 13-16. As for Thousand Oaks, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.
