It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Atherton Ravens had no problem doing just that on Friday. They didn't even let Butler onto the board and left with a 21-0 win. Winning may never get old, but Atherton sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.
Mike Curry had a dynamite game for Atherton, rushing for 252 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry. Curry really tore up the turf during one magnificent 97-yard run.
Atherton's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Butler, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
Atherton will look to defend their home field on Friday against Owensboro at 7:30 p.m. Owensboro is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Butler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
