The Lakeview Bulldogs suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of Hubbard by a score of 41-38. Lakeview was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hubbard apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Lakeview had strong showings from Mackenzie Stowe, who scored 12 points, and Anna Haynie, who scored four points along with two blocks.
Lakeview has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Hubbard, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing McKinley the next time they take the court. Lakeview will head out to face McKinley at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, while Hubbard will host them at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
