They were just one part of a punishing run game: Loomis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 350 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Meanwhile, Overton entered their tilt with Cambridge on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 33-24.
Loomis better keep an eye on Eli Luther. He was instrumental in Overton's win, rushing for 50 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 111 yards and one touchdown.
Overton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dawsen McCarter and Luther.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Loomis has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 225.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Overton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 200.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Loomis came out on top in a nail-biter against Overton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 28-26. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
