The Trinity Christian Academy Warriors fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 32-25 win over Sheridan Hills Christian on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Trinity Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played last Friday.
Trinity Christian Academy was led to victory by Nana Saintyl and Kymorah Morrissey. Saintyl scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Morrissey scored 16 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saintyl has scored all season.
Sheridan Hills Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Carrington, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals. Carrington is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Analiese Toro, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Trinity Christian Academy's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will challenge Atlantic Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Atlantic Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Colonial Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
