After a string of four wins, the Lincoln Fighting Zebras's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were the victim of a tough 69-49 defeat at the hands of West Park. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Lincoln has suffered since December 21, 2023.
Several Fighting Zebras players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Neely, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Snyder, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Lincoln's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8. As for West Park, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Lincoln will head out on the road to face off against Nevada Union at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Nevada Union has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for West Park, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Oakmont at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Oakmont's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
