The Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Foundation Academy Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Dora Christian Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Mount Dora Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over First Academy. Considering the Bulldogs have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Trinity DeVries made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Katie Bayly was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Courtney Wood was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Mount Dora Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as First Academy only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, while Foundation Academy put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Legacy Charter. The Lions put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 15-0 victory. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this season.
Like Mount Dora Christian Academy, Foundation Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Riley Winters. On the mound, Winters pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Reagan Schirmer pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Winters has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Winters went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Schirmer went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Norah Ranaudo was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Ozim, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Mount Dora Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Foundation Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.
Foundation Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mount Dora Christian Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. It's a different story for Foundation Academy, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given Mount Dora Christian Academy's sizable advantage in that area, the Lions will need to find a way to close that gap.
