The Gaither Cowboys will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Largo Packers on February 6th. Gaither has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 564 points over their last nine contests.
Even though Lennard scored an imposing 60 points on Thursday, Gaither still came out on top. Gaither managed a 66-60 victory over the Longhorns.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gaither to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayce Humphries, who scored 23 points. Rico Kindred was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Largo pushed their score all the way to 75 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Boca Ciega by a score of 77-75. Largo has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gaither is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Largo, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-12.
Gaither didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Packers in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 64-59 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Largo's Jeremy Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 23 rebounds.
