Bea Robinson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, earning four runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aysia Suyat, who fired off three triples, eight RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. Those three triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Laila Esparza, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles.
Southeast Career Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .536 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Spring Valley made easy work of Eldorado on Wednesday and carried off an 18-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grizzlies.
Like Southeast Career Tech, Spring Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Raelynn Villanueva. Southeast Career Tech pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Spring Valley, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Southeast Career Tech has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .539. However, it's not like Spring Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .516. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Southeast Career Tech's way against Spring Valley when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Southeast Career Tech made off with a 13-7 victory. Will the Roadrunners repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
