There's no place like home for Westmoreland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Clay County Bulldogs on Friday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Landon Carter was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kade Perry, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Westmoreland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clay County only posted an OBP of .364.

Westmoreland's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Clay County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Coming up, Westmoreland is taking a road trip to face off against Franklin-Simpson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clay County, they will take on Monterey at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
