The Ada Cougars won the last time they faced the Hugo Buffaloes, and things went their way on Saturday too. Ada walked away with a 47-34 win over Hugo. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ada.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ada to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Campos, who scored ten points along with three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Epps, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Ada is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Hugo, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Ada will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Idabel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Idabel presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ada in Oklahoma (Idabel is ranked 12th, while Ada is ranked 181st). As for Hugo, they will head out on the road to square off against Madill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madill is on a four-game streak of home losses, Hugo a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
