The Meadows School is 7-1 against Boulder City since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. The Meadows School has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
The Meadows School is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs last Thursday, they were much more limited against Palo Verde on Thursday. They lost 19-1 to the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.
The Meadows School saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Kim, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boulder City). They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over Moapa Valley on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.
Gavin Robinson was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Boulder City: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 4-7 otherwise. Robinson was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Spencer Aten, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with seven RBI, one triple, and one double. Boulder City is 3-1 when Aten posts three or more hits, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Karter Law, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Boulder City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
The Meadows School now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Boulder City, their record is now an identical 7-8.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. The Meadows School hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like Boulder City struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
