The Booneville Blue Devils typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Amanda Elzy Panthers proved too difficult a challenge. Amanda Elzy narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Booneville 30-28.
Despite the loss, Booneville still got an impressive performance from Zion Nunn, who gained 88 total yards and three touchdowns. Nunn is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played.
Amanda Elzy's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Booneville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Amanda Elzy is on the road again on Friday and play against Choctaw County at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Choctaw County is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games. Booneville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
