Basketball Recap: Christian Rostorfer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hardin Northern over Riverdale

Hardin Northern lost against Riverdale back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hardin Northern Polar Bears fell just short of the Riverdale Falcons by a score of 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Polar Bears have suffered since January 20, 2024.

Hardin Northern's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Rostorfer, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points. Rostorfer has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Mason Stewart was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 11 points.

Hardin Northern has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Riverdale, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
