The Cicero Prep Academy Centurions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Salome.
Salome got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jibran Castillo out in front who scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Castillo has scored at least 25% of Salome's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Edgar Gamez, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals.
Cicero Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Salome, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.
Cicero Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Superior at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Salome's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wickenburg at 4:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
