Harbor Creek is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over Meadville. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.

Addison Lucas made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Brooklynn Cipalla and Arianna Denning did most of the damage at the plate: Cipalla got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Denning went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most runs Denning has posted since back in April. Lacie Fortin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Harbor Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .429 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Fort LeBoeuf hadn't done well against Cambridge Springs recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bison never let the Devils get on the board and left with a 5-0 win.
Like Harbor Creek, Fort LeBoeuf also got a great game from a two-way player: Kiernan Skelton. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Skelton was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Fort LeBoeuf let Gemma Malinowski and Mya Stolz run wild. Malinowski went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI, while Stolz went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was Stolz's first of the season.
Fort LeBoeuf is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Harbor Creek, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Harbor Creek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .421. However, it's not like Fort LeBoeuf struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
