The Eastside Spartans were the 59-52 winner over the Lee Generals when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Eastside took a 55-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lee. Eastside can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their seven games.
Lee found their leader in underclassman Konner Early, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Early has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Clay Robbins, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Eastside will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Rye Cove on December 29, 2023. Rye Cove comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Lee won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Honaker at 8:30 p.m. on December 28, 2023. Honaker presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lee in Virginia (Honaker is ranked 190th, while Lee is ranked 398th).
