Make it nine blowout wins for the Timnath Cubs this season. They put the hurt on Valley with a sharp  60-38 victory on Friday. The  win was just what Timnath needed coming off of a  78-51 loss in their prior  game.
 Timnath found their leader in underclassman  Tiana Guzman, who  scored 16 points along with eight  rebounds and eight  steals. Guzman hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was  Lily Eisbrener, who  scored 11 points along with four  steals.
 Timnath has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timnath will stay at home for another  game and welcome Platte Valley at 7:00  p.m.  on January 16th. Platte Valley has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. As for Valley, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Eaton at 6:00  p.m.
