While losing is never fun, Hoehne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Crowley County is ranked 35th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Bobby Terry, who scored eight points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Maurice Bachicha, who scored six points.
Hoehne struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Swallows Charter Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 60-50 victory over Swink. The win was a breath of fresh air for Swallows Charter Academy as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Hoehne has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Swallows Charter Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.
Hoehne took their victory against Swallows Charter Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 60-39. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Swallows Charter Academy's Charles Perry, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds.
