The Dakota Ridge Eagles had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed by Conifer on the road to the tune of 52-15. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Dakota Ridge has managed all season.
Dakota Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hannah Galbreath led the charge by scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Galbreath has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Kayce Brace was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
The win got Dakota Ridge back to even at 6-6. As for Conifer, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Dakota Ridge will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Green Mountain at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Green Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for Conifer, they will head out on the road to take on D'Evelyn at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in D'Evelyn's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Conifer has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
