Even though the Donovan Wildcats have not done well against the Milford Bearcats recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Donovan enjoyed a cozy 68-49 win over the Bearcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Donovan also won the last time the pair played last Monday.
Griffen Walters was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Ty Miller was another key contributor, almost dropping a triple-double on nine points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.
Donovan is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. As for Milford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Donovan will take on the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully South Newton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Saturday. As for Milford, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Iroquois West is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
