The Hesperia Panthers will head out to face off against the White Cloud Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hesperia will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Hesperia is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Mason County Eastern on Thursday as they made off with a 10-4 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Daylen Castillo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Weston Hasted, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Abe Escobedo, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Hesperia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, White Cloud was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over Tri County Area. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by just one run.
Trysten Tancock was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Tancock was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brady Strait was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Riley Borgman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Hesperia's record now sits at 4-14. As for White Cloud, their record is now 9-13.
Hesperia came up short against White Cloud in their previous meeting back in April, falling 6-3. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
