The Chittenango Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Central Valley Academy Thunder at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
On Thursday, Chittenango came up short against Proctor and fell 3-1. While the Bears didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 25-21 in the first set.
Chittenango started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Chittenango had strong showings from Donovan Schmidt, who had seven digs and five assists, and Gavin Karwoski, who had 15 digs and six kills. Karwoski is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least five every time he's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Central Valley Academy made easy work of Rome Free Academy on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Black Knights: they've now won six in a row.
The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 27-25.
Central Valley Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Chittenango, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Chittenango came up short against Central Valley Academy in their previous matchup back in January, falling 3-1. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
