Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Family's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Cornerstone Family had won five straight games and Gabe Smith did his part to make it six on Saturday. The Saints took down the Heritage Christian Eagles 56-41 thanks in part to Smith, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards. His afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Presley Hinck, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Cornerstone Family's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Heritage Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone Family will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Waverly at 4:00 p.m. As for Heritage Christian, they will take on St. Joseph D at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
