The Eastern Quakers suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Haslett, falling 78-22. Eastern was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-18.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Haslett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jadelyn Trotter, who scored 18 points along with six steals. Trotter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Kaitlyn Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Eastern's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.8 points per game. As for Haslett, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Eastern will be playing in front of their home fans against Sexton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Haslett on the road again on Tuesday and play against Portland at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
