The Neuse Christian Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 71-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thales Academy Rolesville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Neuse Christian Academy in their matchups with Thales Academy Rolesville: they've now lost nine in a row.
Thales Academy Rolesville found their leader in underclassman Colby Currie, who scored 23 points along with six assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Malcolm Foster, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Neuse Christian Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neuse Christian Academy and St. Thomas More Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they will head out on the road to challenge Friendship Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Friendship Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
