Pine Forest has gone 8-2 against Terry Sanford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Mya Harris made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Harris was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Gracie Miller was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Aaliyah Roche was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.
Pine Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Overhills only posted an OBP of .375.
Meanwhile, Terry Sanford got the win against Westover last Thursday by a conclusive 17-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Pine Forest's record is now 8-6. As for Terry Sanford, their record now sits at 4-8.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pine Forest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .511. However, it's not like Terry Sanford struggles in that department as they've averaged .577. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
