Norwayne came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 66-44 margin over the Smithville Smithies. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Norwayne was led to victory by Tyson Hess and Parker Metsker. Hess went 10 of 13 to rack up 22 points and four steals, while Metsker dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists. Metsker has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Braylon Arnold, who posted 13 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Norwayne was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 20 assists in three consecutive games.

Norwayne's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points over those games. As for Smithville, their loss dropped their record down to 18-3.

Looking ahead, Norwayne will challenge Chippewa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwayne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Chippewa likes a good challenge. As for Smithville, they will face off against Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hillsdale will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Smithville surely won't give up without a fight.
