El Paso saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Renatta Gonzalez, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Chapin entered their tilt with Burges on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 15-5 victory. 15 seems to be a good number for the Huskies as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Jaedyne Armendariz was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Armendariz was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Chapin got a massive performance out of Yaretzi Acosta, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Kaylee Himes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Chapin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in 16 consecutive matchups.
Chapin's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for El Paso, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. El Paso has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .467. However, it's not like Chapin struggles in that department as they've averaged .541. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
