Basketball Recap: Episcopal School of Jacksonville Comes Up Short

Episcopal School of Jacksonville was the 60-49 winner over Creekside when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles fell to the Creekside Knights 60-56. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Knights are ranked 39th).

Despite the loss, Episcopal School of Jacksonville still got an impressive performance from Will Moore, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points. Those 31 points gave Moore a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Schwartz, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points.

Nolan Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Creekside, shooting 4-for-6 from downtown and almost dropping a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Nelson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cade Patterson, who posted ten points.

This is the second loss in a row for Episcopal School of Jacksonville and nudges their season record down to 13-12. As for Creekside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville has already played their next match, a 71-53 victory against Wolfson on the 3rd. As for Creekside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-49 win against Atlantic Coast on the 5th.
