The Enterprise Wolves will take on the Delta Rabbits at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Delta will be up against a hot Enterprise squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Enterprise blew past Manti 9-1 on Friday.
The team relied heavily on Clayton Bowler, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Kyler Randall was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Enterprise was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, while Delta put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Milford. Delta was the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Milford. While the Rabbits didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Delta also got a great performance from Hunt Roninson as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over six innings pitched. Roninson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ty Stefanoff was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Kyler Davies also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Delta's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Enterprise, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Enterprise has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Delta struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Enterprise came out on top in a nail-biter against Delta when the teams last played back in March of 2018, sneaking past 9-7. Will Enterprise repeat their success, or does Delta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
