The Dale County Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 63-45 fall against Ariton. While losing is never fun, Dale County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 409th, while Ariton is ranked 154th).
Ariton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ian Senn, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Senn is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Lawson Leger was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Dale County dropped their record down to 3-20 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Ariton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Dale County will play host again and welcome Geneva County, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ariton, they will head out on the road to face off against Long at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Long is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
