The Spencer County Bears's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Newport Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on December 22nd. One thing working in Spencer County's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Even though Male scored an imposing 61 points on Tuesday, Spencer County still came out on top. Spencer County had just enough and edged Male out 63-61.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Newport's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Great Crossing by a score of 48-46. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Newport has scored all season.

Kinney scored a full 63% of Newport's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. James Turner was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
The win got Spencer County back to even at 4-4. As for Newport, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
