The Marion Swamp Foxes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mullins Auctioneers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, Marion was able to grind out a solid win over Lee Central, taking the game 52-40. Given Marion's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Lee Central is ranked 144th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jamarius Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Cusack, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Mullins unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 41-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Conway. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mullins has scored all season.
Marion's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Mullins, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.
Marion was dealt a bruising 100-65 defeat at the hands of Mullins when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Marion, Johnell Sindab (who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 2 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
